About Lesson

Today you are halfway through your 30 Day Foot Challenge. Take a moment to assess how far you have come. Are you feeling a little bit more grounded? A little more stable? A little more secure? These transformations don’t happen over night. But with slow, steady consistent practice, the changes over time can be profound.

We started the 30 day challenge with a pose called Tadasana or Mountain pose. It is the most foundational yoga pose – simple and seemingly easy. But in fact, it is one of the most difficult of all the poses because to get the mountain effect promised in the name of the pose, you have to be supremely balanced on both feet.

So for today, we will practice Tadasana or Mountain Pose lying down., Supta Tadasana.
  1. Lie down on your mat a short distance away from a wall. Make sure it’s a wall where you can place your feet flat against the wall’s surface
  2. Lie down flat with your legs bent
  3. Hold on to the sides of your mat and push the wall away with your feet until your legs are straight.
  4. Feel the connection of the feet agaisnt the wall all the way to the top of the skull. Ask yourself, where does this connection break down Can I push into the wall a litle more? Can I imagine that the roots of my feet are pulling my legs through the wall ?
